Do you care what country of origin your grapes or spinach are from? Do you check these labels and buy accordingly?
I think it is a great idea from the melamine in so many things from China to the tainted peppers from Mexico, bad food can happen anywhere, but now we can find out faster where the problem is coming from.
Can you tell I have nothing to write about today? The boredom of only having three children under the age of 5 to talk to every day is taking its toll. Friday afternoons can not come fast enough, I miss adult conversation. I miss my best friend. It really sucks.
Winners, I need your email addresses, I cannot find some of them on your blogs. So, email them to me or leave them in the comments.

It's scary how global everything is. The world is definitely not flat. When they say China owns us, it's true and it's scary.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean about the speaking to an adult thing. Sometimes, on the days I'm home with the kids, I take them to the mall just so I can wander around and see other adults. I listen in on their conversations just so I can hear real language and not a three year old demanding the yellow transformer.
I always check where it comes from, but then again, that's the type of geek I am.
ReplyDeleteMy green beans are from Kenya. Most of the veg is from Kent, just down the road... and the salmon is sourced from Scotland.

ReplyDeleteThanks! LYNS
I gotta tell you, I check where my veggies/meat/etc come from too. Unfortunately, after living in SE Asia, you can see that 'quality control' in not a commonly used phrase.
ReplyDeleteYou said nuts!
