  1. Fingers crossed and prayers lifted up that you get some good news from one of your husband's job interviews! That would be a great way to prepare for the new year ahead. I completely understand the fear and shame the financial situation presents. This month, we had to really discuss what bills can and will get paid, and which ones will slide a bit, and then had to work out a payment system with the hospital for medical expenses not covered by our lame insurance that came up from my husband being sick for so long. It's scary, for sure, to wonder how you can care for your family and not feel like completely going under.

  2. Dang it, I just deleted the message I wrote!

Short version, I sincerely hope the job interviews pan out to an amazing job, and that 2010 is a wicked awesome year, and I will continue to keep you in my prayers!

I think you should talk to your friends about it. They can help . . . even if it just means calling you more and cheering you up. It does help! I promise.

It's hard to feel like you've failed and it's harder to be in a tough place. Clearly, you and E aren't lazy or bad people. You're a family that is feeling the crunch of these times we're in right now.

Your friends will feel upset that you didn't talk to them and go to them for support.

Best of luck with the interview and I'm hoping your 2010 is full of good news.

  4. Hope hubby's interviews went well. I had one on Monday and I'm still waiting to hear back myself. Hang in there, TG, it'll get better.
