A Little Of This And That

This is going to be a random post since I have many things to blabber about.
This is what I just overheard:

My son just screamed at his sister: R, don't just show me your sausage!

I don't know what that is about and I am choosing to ignore it. When does kindergarten start again?

I joke about kindergarten starting, but I really am going to miss my kids. When did they grow up?
I am going to be a mess their first day of school, more so then preschool. I know that this year they will have to leave the friends they made and start a new school and I feel so badly for them. I know that is my own shit projecting on them though.
I know many parents are so happy when their kids go back to school, but I am not there yet. Give me a year or two.

I broke out of my comfort zone and went to a great Lenscrafters/BlogHer meet up in NYC. Any chance for me to go into the city is one I will take, I really miss living outside of NYC. You can read about the great time I had here.

E is going to NH this morning for a couple of days. I guess I get to try out what it will be like being a single mom most of the week. E will be working in NH starting in September. I don't even want to think about too much. It is too much change and if you knew me in real life, you would know I despise change.
I am terrible at it.

I also suck at:
drawing anything but stick figures and clouds, I make a mean cloud
making clam chowder
folding fitted sheets
blowing my hair out as good as my hairdresser does
having patience
running

So cheer me up today, tell me what you suck at.

  9. I, too, suck at folding the fitted sheet, and I'm the daughter of a freaking fitted sheet folding mother.

I suck at keeping the measley amount in the checkbook register balanced.

Lately I suck at motivation, which isn't good when the world around me needs clean underwear.

I probably suck at a lot of things, and you've totally pulled me in with this post and your love of the smell of old books!

Thank you for coming by my blog recently and leaving a comment. I totally appreciate it, and am planning to come back over here soon!

I don't think anyone could suck worse then ME at folding fitted sheets. I gave up and now just roll it into a ball.

I suck at calling people back. I suck following things thru.

  12. I suck at driving, grilling, and exercising. I totally suck at letting things go and not fretting over everything. On the other hand, I can make a mean cake, I am an expert at pegging my pants (learned in jr. high, and it's a skill that Katie Holmes Cruise is totally trying to bring back. Come on girl, I'm ready)

  13. Oh, so much suckage.

Ironing. My mother in law irons on a blanket on her table, and she can fold a fitted sheet like a ninja. I just roll mine up into a ball after the first unsuccessful fold...

I suck at shutting up. I talk on and on. My grandmother said 'please don't lecture me' last night. Ee.

    Housework, it eludes me.

finding anything in the mess of my house.

    Giving up bad habits.

    Routine and consistency... parenting!

  15. I suck at most things domestic.
I suck at being patient with my aging parents (though I am consciously working on it, just so you don't think I'm a total jerk).
I suck at giving grace to bad drivers...they just piss me off.
I'm sure I've got a laundry list, but I'm losing all self-respect by thinking of all I suck at, so that's it for now!
