Can't Wait For The Spring

It has been one of those weeks.
The baby is whiny and clingy. His molar will not break through and it hurts him so much I just want to kiss his little red, swollen gums.

The twins were both a little sick and now L has that cough that will never end. I feel bad for him but sometimes you just want to yell "Stop that blasted coughing!"
I doubt that would make him feel better but it would make me feel better.

We had to go back to NJ and pick up the rest of our stuff and say goodbye to the house and neighborhood that we love. It was hard (made a little easier by a quick stop with the trailer to Wegmans!)

E is working and working and working away. He has been so busy with his new career and it is paying off. The business will even be featured on a TV show to air soon! More details to follow, I promise.
The work is good and in this economy to have any work is a blessing but I am still finding my footing here and sometimes without him all day and night, I get lonely and feel a little lost.
I am sure this will only get better now that spring is coming. I need some tulips to lighten my mood!

I have lots of plans for this spring. I am planing a huge garden, I want to plant flowers, I want to get some chickens (chickens! how fun is that?!).

Tell me what plans do you have for spring or what makes you feel better today?

  1. I'm hoping against hope for good weather this spring. I'm hoping I get out of my funk. Winter really got to me this year. Glad to see your settling in to your new place. I was just thinking about you last week wondering how all was going with you. Last time I trolled the internets you were moving and nervous as hell. I hope you can find contentment in your new home soon. As for your husband's business being featured, can I assume it's not a 20/20 expose? This IS a good thing, right?

  2. You going to get extra crispy or original recipe?

  3. Ohhh, it is so hard to move. It is OK to feel a little lonely and lost for a while. I still do sometimes, and it has been over five months. I think it's just like that for a while. Hang in there and I hope the kiddos are better soon!

  4. Tulips will brighten everyone's day. Here are 2 tidbits I know from working in a flower shop - they were used as currency AND they keep growing after being cut.
Does it make you love them even more?
Congrats on your husband's business growth. That is such a blessing.

  5. Skeenky, I need this to be a good spring also. The weatehr really effects my mood.
The business beaing featured ona show is a REALLY good thing!

    UR, my poor chickens!
    Swishy, kids are better!
Nikki, tulips are my favorite flower!

  6. I think that what I love about Spring is that it is a new beginning. I plan on planting a new garden in our new home and having flowers everywhere!

  7. I need to level out the ground make a concrete walkway along the driveway so my wife can safely get in and out of the van in the winter.

  8. I can't talk to you right now... I'm too busy looking outside at the piles of SNOW still on my lawn. I know I'm in Canada, but still.... winter is not supposed to stay this long. GO AWAY!!!
