Seriously, 5 Weeks Vacation?

So the camp may move closer to Bush's ranch where he takes more vacations then Beyonce and Jay-Z. What can I say, good for them. I cannot imagine losing a child, nevermind in a war in which I believe is wrong. It is terribly sad and I really do think Bush should speak with her, I think it is the least he can do.
Actually that is all I am going to say on this topic because otherwise I will be ranting for days.

  1. i could not imagine losing a child either, but if Bush speaks with her, he will be expected to speak with every parent that has lost a child in this war on terror, or any person that decides to waste their own and everyone elses' time by protesting. The only thing protesting does is create overtime for the cops that need to work these litte demonstrations.(not that its a bad thing, cops deserve all the money they can possibly earn) War is terrible and i hate that any of our soldiers have to die, but last time i looked our army was still voluntary, and the HEROS signing up to protect our country know the risk they are taking. Our soldiers are HEROS not victims and that is how this woman is portraying her son. just my opinion, i'm sure i will piss some people off.

  2. I'm not taking either side here, but I do want to point out that Bush already did have a personal meeting with her, and she has changed her story as to what happened in that meeting. I feel for the woman and I can understand that losing her son is traumatic. I think the biggest problem is that some of the reports I read do their best to disguise that there was already a meeting.

  3. J, I really do know that the people who join our armed forces are heroes.
Erasmus, I didn't know they already had a meeting. interesting.

  4. He met with her and several other families in June. That doesn't mean he shouldn't meet with her again. She changed how she described the meeting, but I can't blame her for that. The woman lost her son. She is certainly entitled to change her mind on how she feels on things.
