Fun/Not Fun

Fun: Spending time at the beach with your family
Not fun: thinking you lost your son, when he walked 5 feet away from where he was 1 minue ago, therefore panicking and losing a god year off of your life and adding 23 grey hairs to your, already too large, collection

Fun: all day on the beach
Not fun: forgetting all reading material

Fun: being so close to the beach
Not fun: Not being able to sleep, at al, all night

Fun: it is going to be a long, fun day
Not fun: It is going to be a long day!

  1. During my vacation a few weeks ago when my friend came to visit with her son? Yeah. We were so busy talking that everyone lost track of her son. He had wandered quite a ways down the beach. My heart was in my throat. I would only have to imagine how that felt for her and for you.

I have to have something/anything to read when I'm at the beach. I'll even ask a beach neighbor if they have something.

  2. The glass is half full, the glass is half full, the glass is half full...

Keep repeating until you can believe it!

  3. Fun: Getting a tan at the beach
Not fun: Getting burned like a lobster

Fun: Being outside all day with the kids
    Not fun: Sunscreen

Fun: Sucking down some cold ones
Not fun: worshipping the porcelein god.

    Fun: Going on vacation
    Not fun: Paying for it

  4. Kristi9:57 AM

I think I'd just try to focus on the fun stuff.

  5. Still, a crazy day on the beach beats an average day anywhere else.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

  6. anytime you're at the beach, it's the best day it could be. sucks forgetting reading material tho...but I would still trade any day for a day at the beach.

  7. Fun: Visiting the beach
No Fun: Going back to work...that would be me. I am back for my first week and now wish that I were having your problems. Minus the missing child that is!

  8. It's the beach!
Nothing can go wrong there - I think its illegal

  9. Hell, at least you're at the beach!! ;)

  10. Oh yeah... Understand the stress of the "lost" boy even if he was only lost a few minutes. :-)
