Is This Week Over Yet?

I am rocking this moving thing. Here is my contribution to the move that takes place in three weeks:

People, that there is TWO boxes full of great junk I want to take with me. Specifically a box of cookbooks and a box of table linens that I have used maybe 1 time in my married life.
My goal this week is to pack TWO more boxes of various sizes.
I aim high.

K's new ability to stand upright by himself affords him the time to take up new hobbies like cooking.

Here you see him whipping up a lobster risotto with a side of steamed asparagus with a hollandaise sauce.
It was delish!

Chef Wolfgang Poop even does the dishes!

  1. You can fit more dishes in a moving box if you break them first. I speak from sad, sad experience. But on the bright side -- you get to eat out more often.

  2. Since he's standing and can balance on something, I say lean that adorable boy up against a box and have him match your packing, box for box!

  3. Does he fold laundry? Cuz if so, he's already out-classed me.

  4. Double up on kitchen stuff by wrapping your dishes with dish towels, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, etc. Then the dishes and towels can be marked off the list.

  5. He does not do laundry but I think I talked him inot doing windows. Very , very low windows.
    UTI, thanks for that tip!

  6. You don't want to use up all of your energy packing now, you need to conserve your resources.

Lobster risotto. Thanks. I think my instant noodles are boiling.

  7. wolfgang poop lol!

  8. Wow! That son of yours has pretty impressive hobbies!

  9. He's too stinkin cute!

  10. This is possibly the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. Love it. I agree with the others - put that kiddo to work on packing. Can't be worse than the movers who packed for us - 38 boxes all labeled "Nick-nacks"
