My Baby Thinks He Is A Toddler

Okay, so just when you feel nothing can be added to your plate, a nine month old throws something else at you. My monkey K has decided that since he has been crawling for 3 weeks now, he will also just pull himself up on furniture and hey! why not just let go and stand alone too?
Ahem.
Shouldn't I have more of a grace period with just the crawling and eating any tiny little piece of fuzz, dirt or crap he can find on the floor?

He didn't think that was enough accomplishment for one day, he also said his first word yesterday: Uh oh!
This cannot be a good omen.

He must have had some resolutions for this year because he is growing and learning like crazy.

  1. Every fragile and potentially dangerous thing must now be three feet off the ground...makes the place look lopsided. People wonder why don't want to bring our kids over too often, it's because our house is already baby-proofed, theirs ain't.

  2. Before you know it, you'll be having to chase after him!!

  3. It's the third child - my third one was walking full steam ahead and he was barely ten months old. I wasn't expecting him to walk for another couple of months!

  4. Im sorry. I realize we are supposed to be excited when these things happen, but all you can think of is how you will spend your whole day vacuuming, sweeping, and chasing. I am in this stage with Max (almost 15 months)

    good luck!!!

  5. Influence is right....I was just thinking about your post, and my #3 went from crawling to standing THE SAME DAY.

  7. Don't you just hate it when they excel like that? My first went from crawling to walking overnight like yours, my second sat on her arse until she was 16 months old and then never bothered to crawl...because the floors...icky... :)
